Hotel Janatha
Hotel Janatha is an establishment with a rich history, dating back to a time nearly as venerable as Sri Sagar in the Malleshwaram area. This pure vegetarian South Indian breakfast haven offers a menu brimming with authenticity, featuring dosas, idlis, and Vadas. What sets it apart is the authentic Maddur Vada and Mysore Pak, which are unique specialities that I believe aren’t readily found in nearby restaurants. It’s also celebrated for its delectably crispy Vadas and, of course, the classic butter dosa.

Review
Hotel Janatha is a delightful time capsule that allows you to savour the essence of old Bangalore. The enduring charm of the place is unmistakable, you can take a seat on one of the benches and enjoy a self-service experience, indulging in an array of South Indian breakfast dishes. The restaurant remains open throughout the day, but the menu is distinctly fixed.
When it comes to the food, Hotel Janatha shines with its delectable dosas, and the crispy vada, in particular, is a rare treat that’s not easily found in Bangalore or elsewhere. Additionally, the restaurant offers the scrumptious Maddur Vada, and the dessert options are equally enticing. I had the pleasure of savoring their Jamoon, and it truly filled my heart with satisfaction.
I wholeheartedly recommend that all food enthusiasts make a visit to this remarkable restaurant located on 8th Cross, Malleswaram. It’s an experience that’s genuinely worth trying.
